Job summary

Jacintoport-International-LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to develop, implement and enforce safety and environmental policies in accordance with state and federal regulations. The role focuses on evaluating work environments and designing programs to prevent hazards, with emphasis on OSHA standards and DOT requirements.

The position includes coordinating safety committees, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and providing trainings across Health, Safety, Environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of safety experience at industrial sites similar to terminal environments.
• Bachelor's degree in safety-related field with knowledge of OSHA regulations and DOT.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively in a business environment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Clean, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to assess hazardous situations and perform audits.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety policy development and enforcement in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and ensure corrective actions.
• Conduct safety accident investigations and implement preventative actions.
• Communicate safety measures to departments and employees.
• Conduct audits and inspections of the workplace.
• Maintain department logs and records for compliance.
• Provide safety trainings and assist on special projects.
• Support contractors and monitor safety during facility work.
• Maintain a safe work environment and respond to hazards.
