Job summary

Skier’s Marine is seeking a Marine Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and inspection services on a wide range of boats and marine engines. The role emphasizes a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for ensuring peak vessel performance.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, routine maintenance, safety inspections, and clear communication with customers about repairs and estimates, while maintaining thorough documentation and adherence to manufacturer specs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• ASE/SAE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on marine engines and systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Inspect boats and engines to meet safety and performance standards.
• Communicate repair needs and provide estimates to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records with parts, labor hours, and findings.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer specifications and regulations.
• Order and manage parts inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with technicians and service staff to ensure quality service.
