About the Opportunity:

The Marine Technical Procurement Manager will be responsible for driving procurement efficiency and vendor alignment across the Hornblower brand, focusing on MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) categories. This role will collaborate with Marine Procurement Agents across all business units to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing and inventory management. Key responsibilities include developing supplier relationships, leading cost-reduction initiatives, and aligning with operational needs.

The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and passionate about process optimization and results. They should have experience in vendor negotiations, contract management, and strategic opportunities identification through data and collaboration.

This individual must be solutions-oriented, adaptable, and committed to Hornblower's RESPECT Service System and core values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Support Hornblower's Group Marine team as a Subject Matter Expert in maintenance and repair procurement categories, managing cost drivers, supplier base, and market innovations to meet business objectives. Collaborate with distributors, OEMs, integrators, service providers, Marine and Fleet Directors, Fleet Manager, and Financial Analyst.
  2. Define category and supplier strategy, build strong supplier relationships, understand market dynamics, leverage group resources, and coordinate supply chain and inventory management solutions.
  3. Maintain expertise in M&R operations, negotiate with suppliers, understand marine vessel systems, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
  4. Manage procurement activities specific to M&R, including negotiations, supplier relationship management, and ensuring alignment with category goals.
  5. Oversee product/service purchasing, ensuring statutory and internal compliance.
  6. Maintain a neat and professional appearance as per company standards.
  7. Perform physical duties, including maneuvering in confined spaces, and maintain balance during tasks.
  8. Work primarily in an office environment, with possible travel to support divisional offices, suppliers, and ports.
  9. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, 5+ years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  10. Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and data analysis skills are essential.
