Job summary

Treo-Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced structural welder for shipyard work in Texas. You will weld on hull components, bulkheads, and structural members for repairs and new builds, following project specs and welding procedures.

You will read welding symbols, prepare joints, and inspect welds for defects, collaborating with fitters and supervisors while adhering to shipyard safety and PPE rules.

Qualifications

• Hands-on structural welding in shipyard/marine construction or repair.
• Fluency in reading welding symbols and following written instructions.
• Ability to operate welders and grinders safely and effectively.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain welding qualifications and pass tests.
• Capable of climbing, bending, and working at heights or in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on steel plates, stiffeners, bulkheads, and vessel structures.
• Interpret drawings and welding symbols to plan and sequence tasks.
• Prepare joints by grinding and cleaning damaged material.
• Inspect welds and address defects under supervision.
• Collaborate with fitters, supervision, and allied trades; follow safety every shift.
