Legacy Industries is actively seeking Shipyard Welders to join our Field Operations team in a fast-paced marine construction setting. This role focuses on SMAW and FCAW welding across multiple positions on vessels such as tugboats, push boats, and barges, contributing to shipbuilding and repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience as a shipyard welder.
• Able to weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
• Must pass a drug test and physical.
• Must understand basic ship terminology and vessel construction principles.
• No specific education or certifications required; skill will be tested onsite.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW (Stick Welding) and FCAW (Wire Welding) in multiple positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Join metal parts according to project blueprints and welding symbols.
• Operate safely in varied conditions including high places, confined spaces, and outdoor environments.
• Maintain awareness of safety hazards and uphold shipyard safety procedures.
• Ensure weld quality meets project and industry standards.
• Follow job orders, blueprints, and supervisor instructions.
• Support production timelines during day or night shifts based on project demands.
