Job summary

Gulf Marine Repair in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time Estimator / Project Manager to develop detailed estimates for shipyard projects and manage pre-arrival processes for a predictable start schedule.

The role requires reading ship blueprints, reliable cost analysis, and coordination with production to ensure accurate job books and documentation. Candidates should have shipyard experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum three years in budget/planning/estimating within a shipyard environment.
• Experience with Coast Guard bid proposals, invoicing, contracting processes.
• Ability to read ship blueprints, drawings and specifications, and to analyze cost data.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed labor and material estimates for shipyard work and repairs for Government and Commercial vessels.
• Maintain master purchase orders, options, and pricing to keep estimates current.
• Prepare Bid Response Letter and manage job books and project documentation.
• Create work breakdown structures to support proposals and execution plans.
