Freedom Boat Club in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Marine Service Technician for the Puget Sound region and lakes. This full-time role covers diagnostics, repair, and upkeep of a ~200-boat fleet, with summer travel across Seattle-area sites and winter work at the Tacoma shop.

Typical hours are 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with possible overtime. Mercury or Yamaha certification is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required for towing and launching boats.

Qualificações

• Minimum one year of marine or related mechanical experience.
• Mercury or Yamaha certification is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required to tow and launch boats.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair outboard engines and boat systems across a diverse fleet.
• Perform basic to full service maintenance: oil changes, impellers, etc.
• Carry out gelcoat and fiberglass repairs as needed.
• Conduct seasonal commissioning and winterization of boats.
• Travel between Puget Sound locations during peak season.
• Work on refurbishment projects at the Tacoma shop in the off-season.
• Assist with towing and launching boats when required.
