Job summary

PALFINGER MARINE is seeking a Marine Service Technician for the Portsmouth, VA location. You will inspect, test, and service lifeboats, davit/winch systems, and cranes, while diagnosing hydraulic and electrical systems on-site.

You will read manuals and blueprints to troubleshoot and document service, reporting to the Virginia Service Manager. Ideal candidates bring hands-on hydraulic/mechanical experience, marine sector exposure, strong English communication, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in hydraulic and mechanical/electromechanical systems.
• Experience in marine or offshore environment preferred.
• Willingness to travel and adhere to HSE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, commission, and service lifeboats, davit/winch systems, and cranes.
• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in the field.
• Read manuals, drawings, and blueprints to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
