Job summary

Seattle Yachts is seeking a Marine Service Foreman to lead the Service team in Anacortes. This role directs Marine Electricians, Inboard/Outboard Mechanics, and Outfitters, coordinating daily priorities, staffing, and workflow while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will provide technical oversight, review diagnostic approaches, and ensure complete work is inspected and documented before release. Enthusiasm for mentoring staff and maintaining customer commitments is essential.

Qualifications

Extensive experience supervising marine service technicians
Ability to read diagrams and repair plans
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to work on-site in Anacortes

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day work of Service technicians across electrical and mechanical disciplines
Review work orders and set priorities, assignments, and workflow
Conduct shop and vessel walk-throughs to monitor progress and remove roadblocks
Monitor job status, labor hours, and productivity; communicate delays early
Provide technical oversight without becoming a production technician
Review diagnostics, schematics, and repair plans to resolve complex issues
Inspect repairs for workmanship, safety, and compliance
Ensure testing, sea trials, and final verification are completed
Coordinate escalations with manufacturers, dealers, and vendors
Coach and mentor technicians and provide performance feedback
Set expectations for workmanship, safety, and professionalism
Escalate recurring issues to Service leadership and assist corrective planning
Maintain accurate work-orders and documentation
