Crabi Robotics seeks a full-time Electrical Technician to build, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for autonomous marine robots. You will assemble cable harnesses, PCBAs, and waterproof enclosures, then validate sensors and power electronics for field deployment aboard ships.

The role involves hands-on mechanical work, root-cause debugging, and collaboration with engineers to improve designs and tooling for reliability in harsh marine conditions.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on electronics assembly, rework and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with surface-mount soldering, including 0402 passives and small QFN components.
  • Proficiency with fine-pitch PCB rework and jumper wires.
  • Experience building, inspecting, modifying, and troubleshooting cable harnesses.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies, and other test gear.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB docs.
  • Systematic troubleshooting of electromechanical systems to identify root causes.
  • Hands-on mechanical assembly with common tools.
  • Attention to detail and durable workmanship documentation.
  • Comfort around high magnetic fields and harsh marine environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build, modify, inspect, and repair electrical cable harnesses and wiring assemblies.
  • Assemble, solder, rework, and repair PCBAs including small components.
  • Test and validate PCBAs, sensors, actuators, and power electronics.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems from component to integrated system.
  • Assemble and validate waterproof electrical systems and enclosures.
  • Support robot assembly, lab testing, and field repairs, including offshore work.
