Crabi Robotics in Medford, OR seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to help design a marine robot for cleaning and inspecting ships, including in transit operations. The role focuses on robust, corrosion-resistant components and innovative solutions for challenging flow environments.

You will work with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate EE, firmware, and GNC considerations with vehicle hardware, owning designs from concept to testing.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware design, fabrication, and assembly.
• Experience with mechanical analysis, FEM/FEA.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX).
• Available for a 12-week internship in summer 2027.
• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsabilités

• Design structures, mechanisms, and fixtures for the robot and accessories.
• Procure hardware and design tooling to realize designs.
• Own a component, process, or system from design through testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate EE, FW, and GNC with hardware.
