Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) SeQuim Coastal Sciences Division seeks a Marine Research Associate to join a multidisciplinary team developing marine technologies. The role involves wiring, drafting, assembling, and translating science into engineering specs, with data collection in dynamic coastal conditions.

You will work with engineers to integrate sensors, support autonomous systems, and contribute to project documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree within the past 24 months or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with Python, R, C, C++, Matlab or equivalent for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical wiring and soldering tasks as directed by investigators.
• Perform mechanical drafting, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
• Translate design requirements into engineering specifications.
• Support researchers collecting data in a marine environment.
• Contribute to design documentation and reporting of testing results.
