Job summary

Innovate! Inc. in Seattle seeks a Senior Marine Ecosystem Scientist to support NOAA Fisheries by compiling and analyzing large ecological datasets to evaluate management actions within the Pacific Northwest.

On-site work at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center or related stations. You will lead data processing, develop dashboard and data products, contribute to reports and peer-reviewed work, and collaborate with GIS and field teams.

Qualifications

• Experience compiling, curating, documenting, and analyzing fisheries or marine datasets.
• Ability to manage large, complex datasets into analysis-ready products.
• Strong writing and communication for reports and manuscripts.
• Experience with NOAA Fisheries data is preferred.
• Knowledge of West Coast marine ecosystems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain large spatial/temporal datasets for management evaluation.
• Lead data processing, QA/QC, and visualization.
• Develop accessible data products including dashboards and repositories.
• Document workflows in reports, metadata, and code.
• Present findings at meetings and conferences.
• Coordinate with GIS, field teams, and other scientists.
