Job summary

Brunswick Corporation’s Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op. You will work with seasoned professionals to support the production and manufacture of outboard and sterndrive motors and own projects from start to finish.

You will learn to conduct design reviews, analyze production data, and implement process improvements on the plant floor while developing cross-functional communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a manufacturing emphasis.
• Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time (40+ hours per week) through a full co-op term in 2027.
• The ability to enroll in a formalized co-op program through your university.
• Dependable, self-motivated and engaged learner.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews to improve manufacture of new parts and operations.
• Evaluate test/production data, prepare technical analysis, and recommend methods to meet objectives.
• Design and conduct process improvement and cost-reduction studies.
• Evaluate vendor capability and qualify new processes for our products.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems to drive production execution.
• Analyze data to reduce parts or process costs.
• Communicate ideas and work with employees at all levels.
