Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC is seeking a qualified naval architect/marine engineer to contribute technical vessel engineering expertise and develop project proposals. You will estimate cost, quality and schedule, and prepare change orders with clear technical specifications.

Travel to customer sites may be required; familiarity with ship systems, fabrication and classification rules is essential. This role resides in a fast-growing marina operator environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field with 4 years of related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand ship systems and construction processes.
• Knowledge of classification rules and shipyard practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical vessel engineering expertise to define project work scope from customer requests.
• Estimate cost, quality requirements and schedule for projects.
• Develop yacht repair/refit proposals and change orders with technical specs.
• Communicate with shipyard teams, vessel representatives and Classification Society representatives.
