Job summary

MBI in Loudon, TN is seeking a Project Engineer II to independently manage a diverse portfolio of Marine Components projects. You will lead full-cycle project efforts, perform hands-on mechanical design and process engineering, and support business development initiatives to grow Marine Components.

Responsibilities include scheduling, supplier and customer coordination, designing manufacturing plans, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited BSME or related degree preferred.
  • English language skills required for clear communication.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience as engineer/designer; 7+ years acceptable.
  • CPM, PE, or other professional certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects across metal parts, towers, flooring and marine components with scheduling, vendor and customer management.
  • Develop quotes and manufacturing plans, including tooling and production requirements.
  • Drive innovation by contributing ideas to technical and project challenges.
  • Coordinate with leadership and engineering to maintain accurate timelines.
  • Oversee prototypes, pre-production and sample builds including BOM and change management.
  • Perform CAD modeling, GD&T and technical reporting per design standards.
  • Provide hands-on manufacturing support with CNC, laser, sheet metal equipment.
  • Support process engineering and production optimization with routing and DFMA.
