Job summary

Highwater Marine, LLC seeks a Product Design Engineer to lead the design of Boats Accessory components and systems from concept to production, driving projects to meet objectives on schedule.

You will collaborate with industrial designers, use SolidWorks for parts, assemblies and drawings, and partner with production, purchasing and QA to implement new accessories. A solid CAD background and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering or industrial design.
• Marine experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of materials and processes used in boat building is a plus.
• Experience with a 3-D CAD package; SolidWorks preferred.
• Positive attitude with a customer focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong strategic vision and business knowledge.
• High level of teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of boats accessory components and systems from concept to production.
• Prototype, test, and validate parts with test technicians.
• Collaborate with industrial designers to align concepts with boat design.
• Create updated vectors and 2-D drawings for manuals; prepare BOMs.
• Work with production, purchasing, warranty, and parts departments.
• Interface with vendors to push projects across the finish line.
• Support marketing with information for brochures and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement and quality feedback loops.
