Job summary

Boatdesign is seeking a Marine Piping Designer in the Rhode Island area for a 3-4 month contract. The role requires AutoCAD 2D and 3D proficiency and experience with steel on tugs and barges; shipyard new construction experience is a plus.

You will read and interpret drawings and specs, write reports and procedures, and collaborate with managers, clients, and teams. Strong math, detail orientation, and problem solving are essential; candidates must be US citizens.

POSITION: MARINE PIPING DESIGNER

LOCATION: RHODE ISLAND AREA

DURATION: 3-4 MONTH CONTRACT

WORK AUTHORIZATION: US CITIZEN

REQUIREMENTS:

• AutoCAD 2D & 3D Required
• Steel experience - Tugs & Barges
• Shipyard New Construction Experience is a plus

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
