Job summary

Ameri-Force is seeking an experienced Marine Outside Machinist to install, maintain, repair and overhaul shipboard mechanical equipment aboard naval and commercial vessels. The role requires hands-on shipyard experience with propulsion systems, pumps, valves, shafting, and bearings, and reading blueprints to exact specifications.

Candidates must be able to read technical drawings, use precision measuring instruments, and work safely in a fast-paced shipyard environment.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required.
• DBIDs eligible.
• Minimum 5 years marine/shipyard experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul shipboard mechanical equipment and systems.
• Remove, repair, align, and reinstall pumps, valves, bearings, shafting, and related machinery.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on propulsion and auxiliary mechanical systems.
• Disassemble equipment and inspect for wear or damage, reassemble per specs.
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings, interpret technical manuals.
