Job summary

Qualifications

• Partial High School education; HS diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Strong customer service abilities and a service mindset.
• People oriented with strong communication and public speaking skills.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
• Enjoy educating diverse audiences about wildlife.
• Must adhere to dress code and pass drug tests.
• Available Saturdays, Sundays, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to operate boats.
• Florida Boaters Safety Course.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as First Mate to Captain, including safety talk.
• Educate and inform guests about Everglades Park wildlife.
• Monitor passengers to ensure comfort and safety.
• Clean and prepare vessel before and after trips.
• Continue learning about marine mammals, birds and the Flamingo area.
