Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. in Spring Hill, FL is seeking a part-time Naturalist/First Mate for Weeki Wachee Springs. You will educate guests about marine mammals, birds and local ecology during 20-minute boat tours and assist the Captain as First Mate. Qualifications

• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.

• Education experience or background; enjoys educating diverse audiences about wildlife.
• Background in natural sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as First Mate to Captain and conduct safety talks prior to vessel departure.
• Educate guests about Everglades Park history, wildlife, and ecology during the tour.
• Monitor passengers to ensure comfort and safety throughout the trip.
• Clean and prepare vessel before and after each trip; assist with cash register duties when needed.
