Job summary

Pine Island Marina in Groton, CT is seeking experienced marine mechanics to join our expanding Service Department. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience servicing mechanical and ship’s systems on vessels from 15 to 45 feet.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in marine trades servicing mechanical and ship’s systems.
• Certifications (ABYC, Mercury, Yamaha, Westerbeke, Cummins, Yanmar) are a plus.
• Proficient in marine engine maintenance for gas and diesel, generator and outboard systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair marine engines and ship systems onboard vessels.
• Service generators, outboards, running gear, and domestic systems.
• Communicate with customers and work well in a team in a busy marina.

Job description

We are looking for experienced marine mechanics to join our expanding Service Department. Our marina hires experienced members of the marine trades who are reliable, organized, and hardworking.

Candidates must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in the industry servicing mechanical and ship’s systems.

Certifications are a plus (ABYC, Mercury, Yamaha, Westerbeke, Cummins, Yanmar, etc.).

Candidate must be proficient in marine engine maintenance both gas and diesel, generator service, outboard service, running gear, and domestic systems onboard vessels ranging from 15 ft. to 45ft.

Candidate must personable and willing to converse with customers.

Candidate must be fit and able to work in technical spaces onboard vessels.

Candidate must be a team player.
