Job summary

North Wind Group seeks a Marine Mammal System Assistant I to support 24/7 operations, delivering vitamins and medications, preparing diets, and performing routine medical procedures for the mammal complement. You will work with veterinary and biotech staff in a fast-paced setting, ensuring individualized care based on health needs.

The role requires flexible hours, ability to travel with animals, and strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology or related field with scuba certification and 1+ year experience.
• Alternate: 1 year animal training with scuba cert and HS diploma.
• Alternate: maritime/nav experience with USCG/Navy Diver credentials and scuba cert.

Responsibilities

• Monitor animal behaviors and report findings.
• Perform feedings and administer supplements.
• Assist with basic animal husbandry and enclosure maintenance.
• Support diving operations and sea water operations.
• Travel with animals as required (72-hour notice).
