Job summary

North Wind Group is seeking a Marine Mammals Systems Assistant I to support 24/7 mammal care and veterinary procedures. The role involves vitamins/medication delivery, diet management, and routine medical procedures to ensure customized animal care.

Eligibility includes scuba certification and willingness to travel globally on short notice. Prior animal training or advanced diving certifications are a plus, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in a rugged, field-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology or related field and basic open water scuba certification is preferred.
• One year animal training experience with scuba certification may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• US Citizenship is required to meet security requirements for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on animal wellness.
• Conduct animal handling sessions and document performance.
• Assist with feeding and administration of supplements.
• Provide diving support and assist with marine mammal projects.
• Operate watercraft and support open water operations.
