Job summary

Everett Ship Repair, LLC seeks an Experienced Machinist Supervisor to lead journeymen and apprentices in installing and aligning major equipment and propulsion systems, while fabricating components for ship repair projects.

You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency across the shop, mentor up-and-coming machinists, and coordinate with project managers to meet cost and schedule targets. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of marine-related equipment and ship repair techniques.
• Proficient with PCs and office software.
• Experience as Machinist or Machinery Assembler.
• Ability to mentor apprenticeship programs.
• Experience reading ship construction plans.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise journeymen and apprentices to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals.
• Coordinate with project managers on staffing and planning.
• Develop baseline data for estimates and cost proposals.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce safety culture.
• Review timecards and ensure accurate weekly submissions.
