Job summary

Tidewater in Vancouver, WA is hiring a Dispatcher I for a fully onsite, 24/7/365 role. You will coordinate vessel and barge movements, develop schedules, and maintain clear communication between customers, crews, and the operations team.

The role requires flexibility with a rotating 4-on/4-off schedule and night shifts after training. A high school diploma and logistics experience are preferred, with strong written and verbal communication essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of logistics, maritime, vessel, or dispatch experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate barge and vessel movements across Tidewater's inland waterway system.
• Communicate operational updates to customers and crews.
• Support 24/7 operations with timely, accurate documentation and reporting.
• Assist in scheduling, billing reviews, and record-keeping.
