Job summary

Newport Aquarium LLC is seeking an Exhibits Interpreter for a part-time year-round role on-site. You will deliver engaging interpretive programming, interact with guests and animals, and present information clearly to groups using a microphone.

The ideal candidate has strong public speaking skills, a friendly personality, and fluency in English, with flexibility to work weekends and evenings. Knowledge of marine life is a plus, and safety procedures must be followed.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Knowledge of marine life is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate interpretive skills and run programs per outline.
• Engage guests and facilitate interactions with ambassador animals.
• Present information clearly to large groups using a microphone.
• Share conservation messaging in inspiring, meaningful ways.
• Provide excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Adhere to Newport Aquarium and safety policies; perform other duties as assigned.
