Job summary

Sea Fox Boat Works in Moncks Corner, SC is seeking an experienced Laminator to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on applying fiberglass mat, cloth, and woven roving into molds, and carefully applying resin systems to create strong, durable boat hulls.

You will work with skilled technicians to ensure lamination meets production specifications and quality standards, while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.

Qualifications

• Experience in fiberglass lamination or boat manufacturing.
• Knowledge of resin systems and composites.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, rollers safely.

Responsibilities

• Apply fiberglass mat, cloth, woven roving, and other reinforcement materials to molds per production specs.
• Mix and apply resin, catalyst, and related materials using standard procedures.
• Roll and consolidate fiberglass materials to remove air pockets and ensure bonding.
• Build laminate schedules according to engineering and production requirements.
• Inspect molds and materials before beginning the lamination process.
• Trim, repair, and finish fiberglass components as required.
• Monitor cure times and ensure parts meet quality requirements.
• Identify and report defects, material issues, or quality concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, grinders, rollers, and other lamination equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures regarding fiberglass materials, resins, solvents, and PPE.
• Work collaboratively with other production departments to maintain workflow.
