The ideal candidate has extensive experience in fiberglass lamination, strong leadership, and a track record of solving problems to meet production goals while maintaining safety and workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Previous boat manufacturing experience with fiberglass lamination.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of fiberglass materials and lamination techniques.
• Hands-on experience with lamination operations and production quality.
• Ability to lead and develop production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fiberglass lamination and composite manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety expectations are met.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees while promoting accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
• Coordinate daily staffing, workflow, materials, and equipment needs to support production goals.
• Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure proper fiberglass layup, resin application, and composite manufacturing techniques are followed.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and work with other departments to resolve quality, material, and process-related issues.
• Maintain consistent workmanship standards and ensure finished components meet established specifications.
• Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Monitor employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and address concerns as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, including proper PPE, chemical handling, and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to support overall manufacturing objectives.
