Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC seeks a Geospatial Specialist to lead data development and QA/QC across GIS datasets. You will build dashboards, web maps, and services, automating workflows with Python, ArcPy, and Arcade. Strong metadata skills and familiarity with FGDC/ISO standards are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography or related field.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro 3.6+.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise/Server 11.5+.
• Proficient in ArcGIS Online, Portal, Hub and dashboards.
• Python 3, ArcPy and ArcGIS Arcade scripting skills.
• Experience with bathymetry, seismic, sediment and geophysical data.
• Knowledge of FGDC and ISO metadata standards.
• Strong QA/QC for geospatial data validation.
• Ability to obtain NACI/Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead geospatial data development, ingestion and QA/QC.
• Manage vector, raster, bathymetric, seismic and sediment datasets.
• Develop and maintain FGDC/ISO metadata.
• Build dashboards, web maps, feature services and GIS apps.
• Automate workflows with Python, ArcPy and Arcade.
• Support geostatistical analysis and spatial interpretation.
• Publish services in ArcGIS Enterprise, Online and Portal.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver geospatial solutions.
• Produce geospatial products supporting program objectives.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous QA/QC.
