Job summary

Rio Marine, Inc. in Saint Rose, LA is seeking a Service Tech Level 1 for field operations on a full-time basis.

You will troubleshoot electrical circuits, engines, and heaters, read prints, and perform maintenance on generators, switchboards, and motor starters while ensuring safety and policy compliance. The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift 50 lbs, TWIC, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs for extended distances.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and gangways up to 25 ft.
• Ability to read prints and operate safely.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits, engines, and heaters.
• Maintain generators and switchboards.
• Operate and maintain motor starters and controls.
• Inspect and service engines, heaters, and alarms.
• Read electrical prints and schematics.
• Provide routine maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise and train levels 2-3 technicians.
• Manage projects as assigned and travel occasionally.
• Maintain Rio Marine safety and operational policies.
