Job summary

Curtin Maritime is seeking an experienced Field Engineer (Survey) to support current and future marine construction projects in the Houston area. The role requires traveling to project sites and leading survey activities on dredging projects.

You will collect, process, and report surveys to operations and admin, develop survey requirements, and assist the Project Manager with administrative duties for dredging sites. Strong English communication and field endurance are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in Survey, ideally hydrographic
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office desktop programs, especially MS Excel
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Hypack and/or other Survey software

Responsibilities

• Lead survey team and Manage Survey Assets (Boat, Trailer, Sonar, etc.)
• Develop project plan with project management
• Capture and Utilize survey data to advise/plan daily dredge plan
• Act as the lead contact for our clients on all survey matters
• Collect and interpret data to aid both the current project and provide the bid team with production data to use as part of the bidding process
