Job summary

Norwegian Cruise Line America seeks a Cadet Engineer to join the maritime engineering team aboard Pride of America. Qualifications

  • Candidate must be actively enrolled in a Maritime Education Curriculum from an accredited maritime educational institution.
  • Position-specific STCW training from an accredited educational institution is required.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English verbal and writing skills, including proper grammar.
  • Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and adjust to changes in schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions from the First Engineer and learn toward a future permanent assignment.
  • Assist the Third Engineer and rotate with the 2nd Engineer, including watch standing in the ECR.
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of shipboard equipment.
  • Comply with Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and SMS procedures.
