Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking an Engineer for our fleet offering itineraries along inland and coastal waterways. The Engineer ensures safe operation, maintenance, and performance of propulsion, auxiliary, and onboard systems in compliance with maritime regulations.

Responsibilities include 24-hour response to machinery issues, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with the Captain and Regional Port Engineers to support five-star guest service aboard ship.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of shipboard auxiliary systems and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and perform maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot shipboard propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems.
• Provide 24-hour response to machinery issues and emergencies.
• Coordinate repairs, scheduling, and maintenance with Captain and Port Engineers.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and inventory; oversee spares and logistics.
