Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Licensed Engineer to oversee the technical operation, maintenance, and safety of shipboard propulsion and auxiliary systems across multiple itineraries. The role requires a valid MMC and hands-on experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

You will report to the Captain and work in a fast-paced onboard environment, collaborating with hotel officers and service crew to ensure five-star guest service while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC).
• Experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all shipboard machinery and electrical systems.
• Respond 24/7 to technical issues and emergencies.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with crew and port engineers.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
• Assist with emergency procedures and crew safety.
• Collaborate with hotel officers to support guest service.
