Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Engineer for onboard operations to maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems on our fleet. You will support docking, maintenance scheduling, and safety protocols while reporting to the Captain.

The role requires hands-on experience with ship machinery, adherence to regulations, and the ability to coordinate with crew for seamless guest service. Onboard work schedule is seven days, year-round.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• TWIC – Transportation Worker Identification Card.
• Pre-employment drug test and random testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot shipboard machinery and electrical systems.
• Provide 24-hour response to technical issues and emergencies.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
• Oversee repairs and coordinate with hotel officers and crew for guest service.
