Job description

BCB Marina Group operates three full-service marinas on Lake Texoma — Grandpappy Point, Little Mineral, and Mill Creek — with over 1,000 wet slips and a growing service department. We're hiring an experienced marine technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vessels across gas and diesel propulsion, drive systems, and onboard systems. This is hands-on work on a mix of runabouts, cruisers, houseboats, pontoons, and sailboats. You'll work out of our service facility and on the docks.

What you'll do
  • Diagnose and repair inboard, outboard, and sterndrive powerplants — gas and diesel
  • Service and rebuild drives, transmissions, outdrives, and running gear: bellows, gimbal bearings, u-joints, props, shafts, struts, rudders
  • Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, shore power, batteries, charging systems, and generators
  • Service onboard systems: fuel, cooling, exhaust, steering, trim/tilt, hydraulics, bilge, potable water, sanitation, HVAC
  • Run computerized diagnostics on Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, and comparable platforms
  • Perform winterization, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance
  • Document findings, parts used, and labor accurately on every work order
  • Coordinate with the Parts Manager on ordering and availability
  • Communicate clearly with customers about condition, options, and cost
What you need
  • 3+ years marine technician experience, or comparable heavy automotive/diesel/powersports experience with demonstrated marine aptitude
  • Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic ability — able to work from wiring diagrams and service manuals
  • Own hand tools
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable working on and around the water; able to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined engine spaces, and handle Texas summer heat
  • Ability to operate vessels for sea trials
Preferred
  • Factory certifications (Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, Suzuki, Yanmar, Westerbeke, ABYC)
  • Trailering and launch/haul-out experience
What we offer
  • Certification and factory training paid by BCB
  • Year-round work across three marinas — not a seasonal position
  • A service department being rebuilt with real investment behind it
