Offshore Aviation Group seeks an Assistant Engineer to help operate, maintain, and repair marine propulsion and auxiliary systems aboard vessels. You will monitor engine performance, participate in watchstanding, and support regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.

The role requires valid MMC, STCW endorsements (OICEW, basic training), and hands-on mechanical troubleshooting skills. Join a collaborative team to ensure seaworthiness and readiness.

Competenze

• Valid MMC issued by the U.S. Coast Guard
• National Endorsement: Third Assistant Engineer or higher, horsepower 750 kW / 1,000 HP or more
• STCW Endorsement: OICEW
• Current STCW Basic Training
• Current Advanced Firefighting
• Valid STCW Medical Certificate
• TWIC and Passport
• Demonstrated commitment to shipboard safety and environmental stewardship
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot marine engineering systems
• Engine room watchstanding and emergency duties
• Willingness to collaborate within the vessel's engineering department

Mansioni

• Assist with operating, maintaining, and repairing main engines, generators, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
• Support proper operation, maintenance, and preservation of engine department machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment functions correctly and identify issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical problems.
• Participate in engine room watchstanding, monitoring equipment performance and alarms.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper condition of engine spaces.
• Promote safety and pollution prevention in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Assist in efficient use of consumables, stores, and spare parts.
• Participate in and perform emergency duties, including drills.
• Take initiative in emergencies without direct instruction
