Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. seeks a marine mechanic to perform moderate repairs and prep engines, generators and transmissions for delivery aboard vessels. You will trouble‑shoot with diagnostic equipment and ensure units meet readiness standards before handover.

The role requires outdoor work at docks, lifting up to 70 pounds, and meticulous documentation of repairs. You will follow safety procedures and assist with shop cleanup as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Three years direct work experience with a working knowledge of CAT literature systems.
• Proficient in at least one mechanical system (hydraulics, transmissions, electrical, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare marine engines for delivery to customers.
• Perform moderate repairs and maintenance checks on engines, generators and transmissions.
• Perform quality checks to ensure equipment is in peak presentable condition.
• Perform any test needed on the equipment prior to delivery to insure good operational condition.
• Complete proper incoming and outgoing documentation on equipment.
• Ensure safety precautions are used in the work area.
• Wash and clean equipment as needed.
• Assist with shop cleanup as needed.
• Install transmission on engines and parts on generators.
• Move engine using forklift.
• Prep generators for delivery.
