Job summary

Barton & Gray Mariners Club is seeking a Marine Electrician for year-round vessel support based out of North Stonington, CT. This role requires extensive yacht electrical knowledge and the ability to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on Hinckley power vessels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with marine systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to lift 160 lbs and climb ladders.
• Hinckley or jet drive yacht knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain onboard electrical, electronics, and power systems.
• Wire and troubleshoot inboard diesel engines, generators, and propulsion systems.
• Install and service battery banks, inverters, and chargers.
• Wire navigation systems: radars, chartplotters, sonar, VHF, and autopilot.
• Use multimeters, clamp meters, and diagnostic software to locate faults.
• Ensure installations follow ABYC, NFPA, and marine insurance requirements.
• Track parts and materials expenses on the corporate card.
