Job summary

Barton & Gray Mariners Club in Naples, FL is seeking an experienced Marine Technician to service and repair Hinckley vessels across harbors. You will perform mechanical, electrical, outfitting, and preventative maintenance as part of a dedicated service team.

Travel is required to client harbors; you will manage parts inventory, maintain a clean service vehicle, and coordinate with captains and staff while upholding USCG T-Boat standards.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience as a Marine technician.
• Marine trade school or engine certification required.
• Knowledge of Hinckley and jet drive yachts strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience preferred.
• Organized, self-motivated individual with ability to work independently.
• Valid, unencumbered driver's license.
• Weekend availability for on-call.

Responsibilities

• Travel to harbors to repair B&G fleet vessels.
• Maintain a clean and tidy service support vehicle.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for the service vehicle.
• Answer incoming service calls.
• Maintain B&G vessels to USCG T-Boat regulations.
• Manage expense tracking for all parts/materials purchases.
• Maintain good working relationships with Captains and other staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Travel to harbors to repair B&G fleet vessels
• Maintain a clean and tidy service support vehicle

• Maintain a good working relationship with Captains and other support staff

Essential Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must to able to climb ladders and scaffolding when necessary
• Must be able to maneuver about vessels, both on and off the water
• Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE as required
• Must be able to kneel, crouch, and reach overhead frequently
• Employees will be subject to environments where VOC chemicals (e.g., epoxy, urethane) are present.
