Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) seeks a Marine Electrician to support the SACSS program in Seattle, WA.

This on-site role requires US citizenship and the ability to work aboard ships, in shipyards, and in confined spaces. You will repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, cables, equipment and connectors, using hand tools and testing equipment, and read drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years of related experience.
• US Citizenship Required: Yes
• Clearance: None currently needed.
• Public Trust/Other Required: None

Responsibilities

• Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, cables, equipment and connectors.
• Uses hand tools and testing equipment.
• Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
• Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using testing equipment.
• Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.
• Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagrams.
