General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Marine Electrician to support the SACSS program in Seattle, WA. This on-site role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain shipyard badges; travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities include installing, testing and maintaining electrical circuits, wiring, motors and lighting, using standard tools and specialized equipment. Work from drawings and schematics while following strict safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Onsite position in Seattle, WA with possible travel up to 20–25%.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, cables, equipment and connectors.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to inspect and troubleshoot systems.
  • Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other components.
  • Replace faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems.
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
  • Mount motors, transformers and lighting fixtures per diagrams; complete circuits per schematics.
  • Work from drawings, blueprints and wiring diagrams; follow safety procedures.
  • Participate in special projects as required; obtain badges (DBIDS and shipyard).
  • Travel as needed up to 20–25% of the time.
