Avail Staffing is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician/Mechanical Service Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and commission valves, actuators, pumps, and control systems on ships and industrial sites. Work spans shop environments, shipyards, and aboard vessels, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to read drawings and schematics. Travel up to 50% in the Gulf area may be required.

Formación

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience (marine, industrial, or rotating equipment).
• Experience with Navy, shipyard, or industrial operations preferred.
• Technical or vocational training, military experience, or certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and overhaul valves, actuators, pumps, and control systems
• Disassemble, inspect, measure, repair, and reassemble mechanical and electromechanical equipment
• Conduct functional and performance testing of equipment and assemblies
• Perform field service work aboard Navy ships, commercial vessels, and industrial sites
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and manuals
• Completes service reports, inspection documentation, and maintenance records
• Use precision measuring tools and diagnostic equipment
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of repaired or new equipment
• Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain compliance with company quality and safety standards (QMS & PPE)
• Travel as required for projects and emergency service calls
