Avail Staffing is seeking a Marine Electrician/Service Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and commission valves, actuators, pumps, and control systems in shop settings, shipyards, and aboard vessels.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, detail orientation, and safe issue resolution. This is a direct hire position after 90 days, with travel up to 50% around the Gulf area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of marine, industrial, or rotating equipment experience.
• Experience supporting Navy, shipyards, or industrial operations preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and manuals; strong mechanical-electrical aptitude.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul valves, actuators, pumps, and control systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
• Conduct functional and performance testing of equipment.
• Perform field service aboard Navy ships, commercial vessels, and industrial sites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Complete service reports and maintenance records.
