Overview

Tradesmen International is looking to expand our team of qualified Marine Trade Professionals for current & future projects in and around Newport News, VA. Most positions are first shift with a pay range of $27.31/hour based on experience, plus Per Diem for qualified travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Electrician looking to work alongside proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior workmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope
  1. Troubleshoot electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and perform required maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
  2. Perform maintenance and repairs of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits.
  3. Conduct insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effect repairs or replacements.
  4. Supervise and participate in the installation and/or alteration of electrical systems aboard ships.
  5. Maintain adequate inventories of electrical spare parts and requisition replacements.
  6. Maintain electrical system maintenance histories, noting dates and extent of repairs and/or alterations.
