Job Description

Summary: Regal Boats seeks a motivated self-starter to join as a Marine Electrician. Responsibilities include installing and testing electrical wiring, working in confined spaces, and ensuring safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience with various electrical devices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install equipment and accessories such as stereos, navigation, communication, and power systems.
  2. Ensure proper connections from power circuits to electronic equipment.
  3. Inspect and test electrical systems to locate malfunctions.
  4. Test electrical characteristics using appropriate instruments.
  5. Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures.
  6. Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.
  7. Collaborate with engineering to improve product design and ensure safety standards.
  8. Manage duties according to the production schedule.
  9. Follow safety and quality guidelines.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  11. Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Experience installing heavy electrical harnesses, preferably in shipbuilding or similar industries.
  2. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  3. Strong attention to detail.
  4. Dependability and reliability.
  5. At least two years of electrical experience in marine, RV, or related industries.
  6. Knowledge of 12v systems.
  7. Experience with 120v and 240v systems.
  8. Ability to interpret manufacturing schedules.
  9. Conversational English skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to work in confined spaces safely.
  2. Experience with Yamaha and Volvo systems.
  3. Strong troubleshooting skills.
  4. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  5. Organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
  6. Commitment to safety and cleanliness.

Work Environment: Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments with high temperatures exceeding 100°F.

Physical Demands: Must be able to bend, stand for long periods, climb into/out of boats, lift up to 50 pounds, and work overtime as needed.
