Job summary

Consilium Safety Group seeks an experienced Electrical Marine Project Engineer to lead technical and commercial delivery of projects from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Expect 40–60% travel domestically and internationally with on-site work and occasional extended site assignments.

Office-based when not traveling, coordinating with Sales, Eng, Ops, and customers. Requires a strong electrical/electronics foundation, field installation and commissioning experience, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Field engineering experience with electrical installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical/electronic components and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings.
• Experience coordinating field installation teams, tools, and materials.
• Strong English communication; travel 50–75% domestically/internationally.
• Proactive safety mindset and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope, customer requirements, technical specs, drawings at handover.
• Develop execution plans, schedules, milestones, resource needs, risk controls.
• Create and maintain electrical drawings, layouts, and as-built records.
• Coordinate procurement, packing, and shipment of equipment and tools.
• Lead installation activities at vessels, shipyards, and field sites.
• Provide hands-on support during installation, testing, commissioning, acceptance.
• Diagnose faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
• Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, and internal teams to stay on schedule and budget.
• Monitor progress and communicate status, changes, risks to stakeholders.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance.
