Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. in Miami seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer onboard to maintain and repair ship electrical systems under the Chief Electrical Engineer.

You will operate the Emergency Generator, interact with Main Generators and Switchboards, and ensure safety routines and environmental policies are followed.

The role requires STCW training, a maritime degree or diploma, and ability to work in a multicultural crew 7 days a week.

Formación

• Minimum of two (2) years prior experience working as an electrical technician is required.
• Intermediate to Advanced level English verbal and writing skills, including the proper use of English grammar is required.
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of electronic equipment and systems is required.
• Intermediate to Advanced level of proficiency in electronic trouble shooting and solving electronic problems is required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the electrical systems onboard as directed by the Chief Electrical Engineer.
• Report any concerns with the electrical systems to the Chief Electrical Engineer.
• Be familiar with the ship's electrical Emergency and Safety Systems and operate the Emergency Generator and Emergency Switchboard.
• Be familiar with the operation of the Main Generators and the Main Switchboards.
• Know the location of all major distribution panels to shut down power during failures, fire, or maintenance.
• Follow Safety Management System procedures and safeguard before maintenance/repair work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and adhere to Safety and Environmental Protection Policy.
