Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in marine science, biology, environmental science or related environmental education field is required.
• 2 years teaching experience with student groups aboard boats and in field settings.
• Volunteer program management experience.
• Content knowledge in marine science, coastal ecology and natural history.
• Effective verbal/written communication skills related to public outreach and education with non-scientists.

Responsabilidades

• Lead marine science and coastal ecology labs, field experiences, tours and vessel-based learning for PK-12 students, teachers and the public.
• Coordinate Marine Education Center and Aquarium’s volunteer program, including recruitment, training, scheduling and engagement.
• Support program development, citizen science initiatives and outreach activities.
• Ensure safety during programs and boat trips and provide engaging learning experiences.
• Collaborate with education team and partners to provide learning opportunities for volunteers.
